Bring Encounter Missions to Your Nation
Many of our mission locations begin with a simple invitation from someone on the ground who desires to see the love and power of Jesus more fully experienced in their community. If you are interested in Encounter Missions coming to your country, we are excited to hear from you.
Every mission we undertake is prayerfully discerned, and we are always grateful when local leaders sense that the Lord may be inviting us to serve in their region. Below are some helpful things to know as we begin conversations, pray together, and discern whether a mission might be possible.
Making the Mission Happen
-
Encounter Missions exists to help the Church proclaim the Gospel and demonstrate the healing love of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.
During a mission, our teams are prepared to serve your local Church through a variety of evangelistic and pastoral ministries, including:
Home visits to pray for the sick in your families and communities
Street evangelization and outreach in public spaces
Parish healing services where people can encounter Jesus’ healing love in the local parish setting
Youth and school healing services for students and young people
Youth revival events that invite the next generation into deeper faith
Ministry training for parish priests, clergy, and lay leaders the community
Our heart is simple: to bless every part of the community and strengthen the local Church for ongoing mission.
-
Encounter Missions is willing to send 20 to 150 trained missionaries depending on the needs and opportunities in the region.
Every missionary will have completed at least the first year Encounter School of Ministry, where they are trained and equipped to:
Share the Gospel clearly and confidently
Pray with others for healing and freedom
Listen to the Holy Spirit in ministry
Serve the local Church with humility and faith
Our missionaries come ready to serve, support, and build up what God is already doing in your community.
-
Most Encounter Missions trips last 7–10 days.
To maximize the impact of the mission, our larger team is typically divided into smaller ministry teams that are sent to specific regions, cities, or parishes within the country.
This approach allows us to:
Reach more people
Serve multiple communities
Work closely with local parishes and leaders
Create lasting relationships within the local Church
Our goal is always to partner with local communities in a way that strengthens and encourages their ongoing mission.
-
Encounter Missions goes where we are welcomed. Because our missions serve the local Church, there are several important things that must be in place for a mission to move forward.
1. Diocesan Approval
We only conduct missions with the permission and blessing of the local ordinary (bishop, archbishop, or cardinal).
2. Support from Local Clergy
The support of local priests and clergy is essential. Many of our ministry events—especially healing services and trainings—take place in parishes and on church property.
3. Local Collaboration
For a mission to be viable, we need partnership with local leaders who can help coordinate logistics, communicate with parishes, and prepare communities to receive the mission.
When these relationships are in place, a mission can bear tremendous fruit for the Church.
-
If you believe the Lord may be inviting Encounter Missions to serve in your country, we would love to begin the conversation with you.
A helpful first step is to:
Pray about the possibility
Speak with local priests and ministry leaders
Begin conversations with your bishop or diocesan leadership
From there, we can begin exploring together whether a mission may be possible.
