You were made

for mission.

Answering the Call

Why do we go? Patrick Reis and Fr. Mathias Thelen, co-founders of Encounter Ministries, share the heart and impact of Encounter Missions.

Bring the Kingdom and
be transformed.

You were never meant to keep it to yourself. Take what you've received—faith, healing, boldness—and bring it to the world. Join a Spirit-led mission team and step into the lifestyle of Jesus: healing the sick, proclaiming the Kingdom, and revealing the Father's love to everyone you encounter.

Be healed, in Jesus’ Name.

UPCOMING MISSIONS

UPCOMING MISSIONS

Healing Mission

Sri Lanka

August 5-12, 2026

In August 2026, Encounter will send missionaries to Sri Lanka for the very first time, marking a new chapter in our international mission efforts. From August 5-12, teams will partner with local Catholic communities to host healing services, minister in schools and parishes, and offer an Encounter Weekend Intensive designed to release the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

Missionaries will spend four days in active ministry before gathering together for a retreat filled with worship, sacraments, cultural immersion, and fellowship. The mission seeks to bring healing, hope, and renewal to the Catholic faithful in Sri Lanka, while equipping them to continue ministering in their daily lives. At the same time, each missionary will encounter fresh outpourings of grace, grow in confidence, and return home transformed, ready to release the Kingdom of God in their own communities.

Pilgrimage / Street Ministry Mission

Rome

March 14-20, 2027

From March 14–20, 2027, Encounter will bring its mission to Rome, uniting the beauty of Catholic pilgrimage with the fire of Spirit-filled evangelization. This is not just a trip—it is a sacred journey through the heart of the Church, where faith, history, and mission come alive.

Each morning, we will walk in the footsteps of saints and martyrs, visiting all the major Catholic pilgrimage sites in the Eternal City, including St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums, the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. Along the way, we will encounter sacred art, holy relics, ancient churches, and living testimonies of faith that have shaped generations of believers.

In the second half of each day, the pilgrimage becomes mission. Our teams will move into the streets, plazas, and gathering places of Rome, offering prayer, healing, and personal encounters with Jesus. Through bold yet gentle evangelization, missionaries will reach pilgrims, locals, and visitors from every nation—sharing the love, mercy, and power of Christ in everyday moments.
