Who We Are

We send Spirit-filled believers around the world to reveal God’s love, release His power, and build up the Church in the nations.

In partnership with Encounter Ministries, Encounter Missions is an international Catholic apostolate that leads short-term healing mission trips around the world. We send alumni and Year 2 students of the Encounter School of Ministry to heal the sick, preach the Gospel and demonstrate the love of God through the power of the Holy Spirit everywhere we go.

Lee McMahon

Co-Founder & Director of Encounter Missions

In addition to being an online facilitator for the Encounter School of Ministry Online Campus, Lee McMahon is an instructor for the Encounter School of Ministry Kansas City Satellite Campus. A Bible-thumping Catholic convert on fire for serving Jesus and His Church, Lee helped lead the inaugural Encounter Healing Missions to Belize with Eric Wombwell in 2023 and 2024.

Katrina Rebholz

Co-Founder & Associate Director of Encounter Missions

Katrina is a joy-filled daughter of the King ready to bring Christ to the nations! She was a prayer minister on the Encounter Healing Mission to Belize in 2025 and as of May 2025 is a graduate of the Encounter School of Ministry Kansas City campus. In addition to being a social media expert, Katrina carries a very deep grace of joy in the Lord.

The Encounter Family

Encounter Missions was born from the heart of Encounter Ministries—a movement dedicated to forming disciples to live in and minister out of the power of the Holy Spirit. As leaders watched students catch fire through schools of ministry and events, a question kept rising: “What could it look like to bring this same training and activation beyond our borders?”

What began as a desire to equip disciples at home naturally overflowed into a call to go. Encounter Missions emerged as the outward expression of Encounter Ministries’ identity—forming men and women who not only receive the love of God, but carry it to the nations.
